Hi, My name is Dave Hoaas, and this is my site.  (It is also YOUR site)

I'm a 1974 Graduate of Watertown, SD High School.  I did a 4 year hitch in the U.S. Navy from 1976 to 1980, and served aboard the USS Elmer Montgomery FF-1082.  After that, I did about 10 years in the Navy Reserve where I attained the prestigious rank of Chief Petty Officer.

After bouncing around a few lesser jobs here in my home town, I took a position with the City as it's Animal Control Officer.  I've been serving in that capacity since June of 1988.

The Animal Control Officer position has been quite good to me.  I was named the "Friends of Youth - Officer of the Year" for our community by our local Optimist Club.  I was also named as the "Animal Control Officer of the Year" for the State of South Dakota, and elected president of the South Dakota Animal Control Assoc.

I married my lovely wife Linda (Kolden) in 1981.  She is a lead Vocational Instructor at the Human Service Agency.  We have 3 wonderful children.

Steven is 18, and attending DSU in Madison, SD.  He has been working at our local Shopko Store, which he likes a lot. (Especially when he gets to work in the electronics dept.)  Now he'll be studying (We hope) for a degree in "Computer Graphic Design."  We wish him the best, and would accept any and all donations towards his education!!!

Leah is 15, going on 21, and growing up MUCH too quickly.  She's the athelete of the family, excelling in gymnastics, and playing several other sports.  She recently started working part time at "McDonald's", and now has a car of her own.  I'm sure she would accept any and all donations towards gas, clothes, and supporting her lifestyle.

Brian is 13, and addicted to "Runescape" and "The Price is Right".  We're not SURE in which direction his future lies, but if "Couch Potato" ever becomes an Olympic Event .... ...we're talking GOLD here for him AND Steve.

THANK YOU for stopping by, and for taking a moment to meet my family!
